Description
The underground tour starts underneath the town hall: you'll discover one of the oldest chalk quarry of Pas de Calais, which supplied the bigest building sites in Arras. They were also use during the 1st World War as quarters for 24,000 bristish soldiers engaged in Arras battle the 9th of April 1917.
Additional information
WARNING: visitors have to book their visit a day before at the tourism office at 0033.321.51.26.96. They also have to arrive an hour before the beginning of the visit.
Opening time
From the 15th of September to the 31st of March: from 10 am to 12 and from 2 pm to 6 pm, and from 10 am to 12.30 and 2.30 to 6.30 pm on Sundays.From the 1st of April to the 15th of September: from 9 am to 6.30 pm and from 10 am to 12.30 and from 2.30 to 6.30 pm on Sundays.
